I used to live in Mt. Clemens too, until Jenny blew me away. Out of curiosity, What was the name of your shop?
Sorry about Jenny! We bought a stamping company named Basco, right on the edge of the airfield: renamed it North American Stamping in late ninety’s.
We validated ourselves as a tier one supplier to GM, I negotiated a 30% price increase, were doing fine, got the Q stamp, until the bank decided to close us down as the investor was taking too much vig out of the company.
Used to commute to Detriot every other week for a year or so from Rhode Island. We were in a position of getting the GM vendor of the year award, until the bank stepped in, wiping us out!
