You didnt even wipe the cosmoline off?
Or was it a matter of cosmoline you never knew was there was baking out in the 112 deg Texas sun?
I bet it was the later. LoL

I got it from the GlockStore. The factory polymer guide cracked at about 3k rounds. Its actually too lightweight. I am in like with the new one. I had a link about a month ago. I can’t dig it up now. The new SS guide rod is awesome.
Its quite heavy. Makes a BIG difference. You have to shoot a Glock regularly to ‘feel’ it. Like I said, I recommend.

My bet too.
I’ve had my M91/30 for going on three years now. I’m still finding cosmoline leaking out of spots.

I did not realize the OE was a polymer guide but that makes sense since its a glock.
Very good. I am happy that its working for you.

Plan on it.

Flinch machine. They definitely can be. I picked up a horrible flinch with mine when I first got it. Took a lot of work to train myself out of it. (And the recoil pad helped a bunch too.)

Put it in a black garbage sack and set it in the sun on a hot day.
You’ll be surprised what oozes out.
Then just wipe it down with paper towels.

Anyone here had experience with the Osprey gas piston for AR15s? I am looking to add one to my ultra-lightweight Carbon Carbine from Bushmaster. Prices?

I can also purchase a heavier spring for the guiderod. ( This goes for most any model. Just putting the info out there. Glock will help you if you seek it.
I can also convert my G into other calibers. But, I won’t go into it here.
Glock is about comfort. They will accomadate ya.

I inadvertently did something similar to that.
I keep it in one of those inexpensive hard black plastic shell cases with the foam padding inside.
One hot afternoon at the range, I opened it up and found an outline of the gun in cosmoline soaked into the padding.
:)

I would think the recoil spring could help, but could also cause problems if it is too stiff.
