Everyone of those states has unbelievably high property taxes and no jobs.Go figure How much is a high property tax? I hear horror stories about New York, but other than that what percentage is typical? I'm paying about 2 - 2.5% of my home's value in annual tax.

2500 sq ft house in illinois is 7500 from what my friend tells me.I raise hell about what georgias taxes are on houses twice that size and for 3000 less.
