ERCOT is doing a good job dealing with the crisis.

I just open my bill an it’s $149
Not bad considering the AC has been running full bore with 103 to 112 deg temps all month

FUBO!

Rolling blackouts. I live in the Houston area and my a/c is running almost all the time. We set the temp at 75 and the house temp is 77. If the night time temperatures don’t cool down even the attic vent fan doesn’t turn off. If we have rolling blackouts I will have to buy a bigger a/c just to cool down the house when electrical power is available. My bill for the past month was $266, the highest in 8 years. The month before was $229, the highest in 8 years. Our sidewalks and driveways are sinking and hazardous to walk on. I live in a new neighborhood and one sidewalk near my home has sunk 6 inches and the section next to it hasn’t moved at all! People have to walk in the street for safety.
(keep the dives and surfaces equal, shipmate.)
