While I have to admit Orrin was a firebrand conservative when he first came to Washington and has done a few good things since, it is definitely time for him to be replaced with a younger man with more fire in the belly and less appreciation of the wasteful ways of Washington.
Jesse Helms was the only U.S. Senator in my lifetime who got better with age.

Interesting that you bring up Helms.
Today we had a fed. judge's decision in favor of Planned Parenthood by a Clinton appointee who was blocked by Helms for a Circuit Court appointment.
Mark Levin supports Hatch's return because of his work on judicial nominees. Does anyone here think moving conservative nominees through the Senate isn't important? No freshmen Senator is going to accomplish that.
Hatch has also been pushing a Balanced Budget Amendment for decades and is the an author of the version attached to Cut, Cap & Balance.

Anyone who tries to make a lifetime career as a member of The Congress has no sense of what The People are all about and they forget that they represent US.
