You make a good point, that Sarah may have suddenly been put into the position of wresting back control of her own strategy and timing by having Singleton put a damper on everyone's expectations.

Given the firestorm of speculation, though, they've got a lot of work to do, to tamp it all down. They've only got two weeks to do it, if that is indeed their intent.

It still begs the question of why Sarah would allow her "Iowa Passion" video to be released right now. Her political instincts are second to none, so she surely would have predicted the effect that release would create. That's the whole basis for the elevated certainty that she's planning to announce on September 3rd.

Followed that up with two trips to the USSC, and another to a FReep at the Navy Memorial, until the coup was finally stopped and Gork the Pretender was evicted.

(somehow that all seems so innocent now, given that the evils of 9/11 and this marxist filth in the WhiteHut were waiting in the wings)

But then in '02 I moved another couple hours further north and the extra mileage, along with a gimp leg, has (sadly) relegated my being an active part of the DC chapter to the 'shelf of treasured memories'.
