I never liked O'Donnell much.

Her significance was that she had a slim chance of taking a seat in DE. I backed her on that; she would have been far better than the other guy.

However, she is not of the calibre for a national figure.

I don't know about that...IMO, she's of the same calibre of the "Mom in Tennis Shoes". ;^)

“However, she is not of the calibre for a national figure.”

How was she trying to be a “national figure”? She was only trying to be the senatorial representative of a 3-county state whose ex-senator rode the train to Washington. That’s somewhat like being elected to City Council where I come from. Due to the historical accident of Delaware being one of the original 13 colnies, these locals get 2 senators, but in a provincial sense, and in a big-media age, does it really mean she would have been a “national figure”.

Exactly. I knew she was a flake the first time I heard Mark Levin interview her. But I sent some money to her campaign because I figured she would vote the right way. Now I just want her to go away.

And you think Al Franken does have the calibre for a national figure?

Most of the buffoons in DC don't have the calibre you want (or I want, for that matter), and yet they got elected.

We'd better learn how to support our not-so-great candidates who have the right principles, or we have to resign ourselves to being ruled by the likes of Joe Biden or corruptocrats like Mike Castle.
