Ah, yes. Wells Fargo bank. I had a car loan with them. Paid off the loan. Never got the title back. It cost me $30 to get a replacement title, not to mention the hassle the DMV gave me about the title being lost. The only time I darken their door now is when I cash a check written on their bank. And, sometimes, they won't honor the check: "You need to deposit the check into a savings or checking account -- we don't cash checks to non-customers."

Then they tried to get me to make another payment on the paid-off loan. Glad I knew where the paperwork was filed. When I showed them the document that said "Paid in full" they didn't even apologize.

How to guarantee I stay a non-customer.
