Palin: President is tone deaf (Greta presses Sarah for her primary plans)
Fox News ^ | August 18, 2011 | Greta VanSusteren

Posted on 08/19/2011 2:09:56 AM PDT by Cincinatus' Wife

Sarah talks about GOP race to the White House

At 16:38 into the interview Greta VanSusteren asks Sarah Palin about entering the race -- any closer, why going to Iowa??

Sarah Palin talks about her next appearance at an inaugural tea party event in Iowa Sept 3rd and how she plans to continue doing a lot of traveling.

Greta asks again, with some exasperation, saying this is "an awful tease" and you're driving the media mad, so would she please give a little hint (paraphrasing).

Sarah Palin said she's still contemplating whether to jump in or not and then told Greta, you don't need a title to make a difference or hold office to make a difference - I am proof of that as are millions of other Americans -- wants to explain to other Americans how we can all be apart of the solution - empower individuals, not wait for government to do it for us.

I need more than "a belief" that she is running. Many of the young people you refer to as following Ronald Reagan (Sarah Palin channeling), are following Ron Paul. It is a different time and the age demographics of the U.S. population and the subsequent implications are different (reversed) than when Reagan was coming into his influence. This is a HUGE issue. We should not make the mistake 50 years on, of comparing Sarah Palin's (I really don't know what to call what she is doing) to Ronald Reagan's political rise.

It's imperative that she keep all of the journ0lists and her colleagues at Fox News convinced she's not running. Otherwise, they'll go soft on the candidates already in the field, and how fair and balanced would that be...lol?

Personally I hope she waits 'til November...LOL. $lick Rick and his cowboy cronyism ain't hardly begun to be vetted. Ya know?

Exactly right. I don’t know many times Governor Palin has to repeat the same thing, but every interviewer asks the same idiotic question and she gives the same basic answer:

She has not found any candidate in the current field that she is willing to support, and yesterday she added, not willing to support, “heart and soul”.

She also added that she doesn’t think the field is set, which of course led to the question about her own entry and the possible entries of Christie and Ryan.

I truly think and believe she’s running, so I will support her “heart and soul” with my prayers, my money and my hard work!

She is the only thoroughly vetted, totally TEA PARTY credentialed candidate, with no ties to Washington, D.C., with the record of successfully going after crooks in both parties!

November? !!!!!

I want to see her in Tampa on September 12, 2011! I continue to hold off buying my airplane tix!

Interesting... last night, I heard a radio talk show host out of Dallas - America Overnight? Kate something. Didn''t catch her surname. She was NOT complimentary when the subject was y'all's Guv Perry. I guess there's still much to learn about him.

I find it interesting that I am not allowed to have an opinion on this. I supported, defended and posted a LOT of threads on Sarah Palin. I am truly interested in how she is planning to help with this election or if her reticence about announcing firm plans about a run will keep her supporters edgy and defensive. She is not giving off positive signals. And yes, I do support Rick Perry.

Well, we all “hear” through our individual mindsets. I did listen to the interview with Grata last evening, especially for what I could discern about Palin’s plans. What caught my attention was her statement, near the end, that (paraphrase) that an elected position is not the one and only way she can go.

I would ask: Why even make that comment? 99.99999% of us are not going to run for elective office, so we already know that. So, I took it as a negative as far as expecting her to enter the race.

But, reading tea leaves IS an uncertain business.

And I am FOR any and everything that will get Obama out of our house next November. I am just not convinced that Sarah Palin in the race advances that goal.

And I do understand political passion - I was a die hard Keyes supporter. I have learned that passion must be tempered with a good dose of political reality.

But you couldn't resist posting this one, could you? You knew EXACTLY what buttons to push with nervous and committed Palin supporters and you went for it with gusto. And who said you weren't allowed to have an opinion? Just making stuff up, I see.

I think what you did was detestable but that's JMO.

I'm not a but edgy or defensive, but aren't you more than a bit duplitcitous to post a Palin thread then use it to promote Perry?

I remain open to Perry, but he's certainly not vetted. His conservive credentails are a very open question.

Furthermore, by you stating that she isn't giving off positive signals, what the heck do you know? LOL. Wishful thinking and projection on your part? How about I post: (I know you're worried about her entry. Tit for tat, and that's not helpful).

You jumped on his band wagon well before he announced and that's all right and even mighty fine, but Free Republic is a conservative forum and until I and a whole lot of others, know for certain that Perry is a bona-fide conservative, I'm not going to be tooting his horn or supporting him, but I'm not going to be bashing, trashing or slashing him either. I am trying to learn about him, but I won;t learn a thing from his supporters *spamming* and posting the same old, same old. I am learning from conservative websites, conservative columnists and from his own record.

I'm not here to make enemies with any of his supporters, so please spare me from your argumentative rhetoric.

You've been here long enough to know that Sarah Palin is the one who's been smeared, trashed, slashed and lied about and it's still going on today.

She's prevailed and she's still standing stronger than ever. Once she enters, the attention and oxygen goes to her. The others already in the race, need be vetted now, if they're EVER going to be. No clear sailing for anyone.

Get used to it.

Nice post ma'am.

I remain amazed that the other candidate's posters are still operating under the belief that a no go for Governor Palin means she will throw her support to their guy(gal). Nothing could be further from the truth. As you have frequently pointed out, if she were going to endorse anyone she would already have done so. And anyone who watched the Megyn Kelly interview would be foolish to continue to operate under that assumption.

Thank you.

Good grief. It’s hardly Sarah Palin’s fault that other candidates jumped to the “news media call” for a hoss (horse) race LAST MAY, and it’s still only mid August, NOT EVEN LABOR DAY, yet Governor Sarah Palin is LATE TO ANNOUNCE?

Beam me up!!!!!
