Remember the Bush slogan? "We're fighting them there, so we don't have to fight them here"

In 2005, more people from Muslim countries became legal permanent United States residents — nearly 96,000 — than in any year in the previous two decades.

There were tens of thousands more, simply welcomed in.

I can't believe I am defending the foreigners who have taken over my city but a small correction is necessary. These people are from Iraq but they are Assyrian Christians -- they are not muslims. They left Iraq because they were being persecuted by muslims. I live in El Cajon and know many, they are mostly conservative and attend Catholic church on Sunday. They hosted a party downtown the day American forces took Baghdad, it was a joyous occasion for them as a community.

With that said, they are not known for following the rules or the law. A Chaldean family lives in one of my rentals and the man of the house tried to talk me into renting the unit for a lower price if he paid cash; he suggested that I didn't have to report the income so I would actually make more money. My guess is he doesn't report fully what he makes running his liquor store and was sharing with me how he does it. The Chadeans, as they are known, are Christians not muslims and that is who this story is about.
