“Rep. Joe Walsh who described sadly the fact that House Speaker Boehners office had denied his and other congressmens requests to attend Beck Israel rally in an official capacity as a fact-finding mission.”
Well then they can go unofficially then.
I don’t fell comfortable with congresspeople going to rallies in foreign nations under official auspicious even if it is a good cause.

I agree. I love Beck and I love that he is doing this. But why on earth should I, as a taxpayer, pay to have congress critters go over there on a “fact finding” mission?
What facts are they going to find out?
Hey, I’d like to go to Beck’s rally in Israel, I love Israel, but nobody is going to pay for me to go.
Boehner’s right on this one, sorry!
Wonder how many millions who support the Tea Party can call Boner’s office in the next week or two???
I agree. We may all agree with Israel, but tomorrow (literally) could be Reid and his favorite leftists going to do the same thing in North Korea or Venezuela. It's just not a good precedent to set.

Yes, there’s a danger element. But they’re free to go where they wish, unofficially. And before we rip Boehner, did it occur to anyone that maybe he didn’t think it was a good idea right now for them spend the taxpayers’ money on such a trip? To be sure, there’d be numerous liberals (and MSM) who’d raise a huge public stink about that, for a myriad of reasons. People want to see more austerity from politicians and, whether we like it or not, a heck of a lot of them would be really po’d at paying for politicians to go halfway around the world to a Glenn Beck rally.
I love Glenn Beck, but just thought I’d offer a different viewpoint on the subject.
