Well quite frankly because it is a Republican doing this, it could be to get the skeletons out now in case he gets the nomination. It is protection against what COULD have happened had John Edwards got the nomination in 2006 that would have been a complete and utter disaster for the Democrats. The last thing we need is to have something like that happen to one of our candidates.
Do you think this is an acceptable method for finding skeletons? Perry has been governor of Texas for 10 years now, don't you think if there were some sort of bombshell lurking out there it would have surfaced by now? Texas politicas ain't beanbag, and it's not like the Austin media is conservative or anything. This guy Morrow is looking up at the curb.
Rob is not a Republican in the normal sense of the word. He’s a libertarian, and I think he’s active in the RLC, which I think is the Republican Libertarian Consortium. RLC is fine, but Rob seems to have some anger problems.
Well, quite frankly, a Ron Paul republican is not really a republican-republican. ;-)
When looking at this ad, I cant imagine it being a well intentioned effort to vet our candidates. Vetting could easily be done in private, and the results publicized. This whole thing is being done publicly for a reason.
So....
For what ever its worth, I agree with you.
Everybody has a past....and a lot of the people have something there that they are not particularly proud of.
A few people don't care, like Slick Willy for example....power overrides shamefulness.
Most really good people have a conscience, and will not shame their families, friends and themselves at having all their "indiscretions" spread all over the world....resulting in a lot of competent people from running for any public office.
So, given the present condition of politics, if Perry has anything like this in his past, we need to know now and not have to address the problem during the first year he is in office. You know that no matter the condition of the economy, foreign politics, and peace in the country, the lunatic left will be working overtime to destroy any Conservative administration.
That being said, if there is nothing like this in Perry's past, he should call Mr. Morrow out for a duel...or at least a boxing match.
...while I know that this probably will not happen, Perry could at least make an angry, loud, outraged and unequivocal denial and rebuke of this poster.
