Well, then thanks for being so generous about it. You could have said something of equal brilliance like:

"If she waits until November 1st 2012 to get in, and thinks she'll get my vote without earning it..."

While INFORMED ADULTS know that 'as long as possible' couldn't possibly mean two weeks before New Hampshire or November 1st 2012, we all understand your vantage point now. Thanks for clarifying.
