I read in other articles that recently two solar cell manufacturers have went belly-up, one in Arizona, on in Massachusetts. So if the green industry is doing so well, why are these businesses failing? As one astute FReeper pointed out, when the business fails, the assets are auctioned off for pennies on the the dollar. Those assets (machinery, IP, technology) end up in one place, and you guessed it right, china. The green industry isn't the first to suffer this fate, and they won't be the last. More sectors of industry and production have suffered this fate than I care to recall. When you give away the keys to the kingdom, don't be surprised when you get the door slammed in your face.
