Just looking at a picture of KISS grosses me out, but youve gotta wonder whether Gene Simmons might be on to something with a prediction he tweeted yesterday.
I voted for Pres Bush. I voted for Pres Clinton. I voted for Pres Obama. The next president will be Gov Rick Perry, Simmons broadcasted.
A few minutes later, he backed up the prediction with another tweet touting what few conservatives would consider to be Perrys most sterling credential.
Gov Perry worked for Al Gore and then switched to Republican. He will be our next President. Ive never been wrong, Simmons wrote.
But, before you disqualify his opinion because he voted for Clinton and Obama, consider that Simmons has been vocal about his regret for the way he cast his vote in 2008. The Daily Caller has more:

It’s easy to throw out those little tidbits without the followup. Perry loves America and Texas now has an all conservative board that oversees textbooks.
And - Sarah Palin likes him!!
I live in Texas. Been very disappointed in actions vs words.
Words good.
Actions bad.
And when it’s bad, he continues in it, even when larger conservative groups oppose him...
It’s taken us 10 years to defeat him on the NAFTA Superhighway (Trans Texas Corridor). We finally did just 6 months ago.
We had to over-ride him on the Guardasil fiasco (he single-handedly isssued a executive order that our representatives had to override that would have called for the vaccination of 12 yr old schoolgirls for sexually transmitted diseases.
He signed the DREAM Act. (Now illegal aliens in Texas can attend universities at “in-state” rates, much better than people coming from other states) in addition, they are eligible for state aid.
He talked with Mexico’s leader at the time (Fox) about the need to keep our border open.
He criticized Arizona’s recent law to help curb illegal immigration.
I could go on and on. Unless you live in Texas, you have not heard these things.
Oh, and he has relatives at lobbyist positions.
Simmons usually supports the candidate whom he thinks can best defend Israel; this time he picked the right party.
I’ve lived in south Texas since I was 8 years old and love my life here! My area is booming now, new drilling to the north and south of me. I drive on toll roads that get me where I’m going faster. Sales are up and new homes are finally being built.
Perhaps you don’t recall that both the Polio and the Smallpox vaccine was mandated and did cause some deaths. In the end it has saved countless millions of lives. How could you even think that Perry, a father, would try to harm other children? Our young children are engaging in oral sex at a high rate now, they think it’s ‘safe sex’ but it can transmit the HPV virus.
We would like to see all illegals removed from the country. Do you think it will ever happen? No one will ever do that and you know it. Do you really believe that Sarah Palin will do that? She hasn’t had to deal with the Mexican border and she governed a state with a small population compared to Texas.
Census population, April 1, 2010
#2.Texas; 25,145,561
#47. Alaska; 710,231
The illegal children who grew up in this country were not the lawbreakers and they FULLY PAY for the instate tuition. I guess it’s better to have educated people than uneducated. I do believe the ‘anchor baby’ citizenship should be stopped.
There are follow ups on every accusal that you throw out there - and I know you have read them countless times.
Alaska is somewhat apathetic about Canadians crossing back and forth into Alaska.
Russians would need a ship capable of crossing one of the most dangerous stretches of sea in the world, and so they have never been a serous threat to Alaska.
As for Perry’s political posturing, i really don’t see how it makes much of a difference whom we elect for president. At least with Perry we have his campaign word to hold him to, when our States(not himself) start to act on our agenda via varous state level efforts such as nullification and immigration enforcement.
We then merely need to abridge Perry to keep to his word and do little to nothing to stop em. Perhaps he will even use their efforts to help push congress into acknowledging reality and giving up its claim to theses powers and policy’s.
But the reality is we can’t be expected the Federal Government to give back what it has usurped from us. That is not the nature of governments nor the politicians that lead them. Instead we must uses our States to aggressive push back, check, and balance the Federal Government again.
Perry’s roll as president should be potentially as simple as letting them win, pulling back the Federal armies. And NOT becoming like Obama the one who attacks those advancing the will of the American people.
It is nice. The OldPossum has never made an error. One time I thought I had made a mistake, but I was wrong.
I presume you’re a big McCain fan too?
[Alaska is somewhat apathetic about Canadians crossing back and forth into Alaska.]
I know, Sarah even talked of her family crossing into Canada for medical care.
I know that Perry is a true Texan, a true American. I don’t know of a perfect candidate but I want Obama out.
Thank you for your reasonable reply.
Ah, welcome to FReeRepublic!
Yes, I voted for McCain - to defeat Obama - as did most here. Who did you vote for before you came here?
"Ive never been wrong,
LMAO! Can't he afford a proofreader?
I will admit that Sarah Palin has the best legs of any Vice Presidential or Presidential candidate EVER, in the entire History of the United States and probably for even the rest of the 21st Century.
However, I prefer a candidate that does not have 75% of all voters saying that they believe that she would NOT be a good President for the simple fact that America, as we have known it, cannot survive the reelection of Barack Obama.
Some of us love America more than we love Sarah's legs.
I voted Constitution Party in the last election, since it'll be a cold day in hell before I vote for a left wing politician like Barack Obama or John McCain.
[so an endorsement from someone who endorsed him isn’t worth very much, is it?]
Gosh, guess that leaves out most of the Freepers here, who were voting AGAINST Obama. But you gave Obama a vote by voting third party.........
I’ve been here since 2001. Let’s see how long you last....
That sounds an awful lot like an admission that you have no principles at all. Why are you here then?
this is why it’s a Republic, and we get to vote.
I want my vote to count, and cause things to get better.
Of course Perry would be better than Obama, but this is the sesason of the primary.
We should be about getting the best candidate, and our nets should be cast wide.
We have lots of experience with Perry, and my concern is he is being represented as an “ultra conservative” and he’s not.
It’s OK if you say you are a moderate or a “compasionate conservative” whatever that is, but if you say you are conservative, and do liberal things, people should call attention to the difference.
What's with you Gene Simmons admirers? He voted for Obama, for Pete's sake!!! He's an Obamidiot!!
Thank you. Perry is no conservative, unless it’s convenient.
