Naeglaria lives in warm ponds - that - not to put too fine a point on it - cows pee in.
It’s worse if you jump feet first into the water and the water is pushed up your nose.
So safe swimming is don’t swim in warm ponds that cows pee in, and if you must put on some kind of nose plugs and don’t jump in feet first.

Don’t think you’re safe swimming in water that is cow urine free. Your post is misleading.
Well, no. But thanks for contributing. I remember a similar "outbreak" in Central Fla, summer of '80. I think about a half dozen kids died.
