From what I have heard, Perry never worked for Al Gore. That makes the rest of the info suspect also. Someone is afraid of Perry and is attempting to smear him. Let’s wait and see what comes out in the next month.

I have some hesitations about Perry, but dang there sure are lots of “sources” (not you, but the cite you linked) I’ve never heard of before.
Godfather Politics? I’ve never heard of that site before.

I’m getting awfully confused from the Perry broadsides...
He’s a liberal; he’s a RINO; he’s a rightwing nutjob; he’s too Christian; he’s a secret Muslim; he’s a neo confederate; he’s too Tea Party; he’s establishment....
Head is spinning.

I share your hesitation. I am a Texan, and I’ve never really warmed up to the man. He tried to do some things that would have really harmed our state, but luckily didn’t get away with most of them.
If he gets the nomination, I’ll vote for him. (If an eggplant gets the nomination, it will get my vote)—but I think we have better choices than governor goodhair.

Perry was a Captain in the United States Air Force. I don’t think he needs to ‘prove’ anything to anyone with an axe to grind.

“Godfather Politics? Ive never heard of that site before.”
It’s headquartered between Obama’s castle on the South side of Chicago and the ACORN HQ. Location is just a coincidence, of course.

I don't know if he ever got a paycheck, but he worked for the Texas leg of Gore's first presidential campaign. I'm a Perry supporter and a Conservative. I know him. He's a good man. He's a Conservative man. And that's the problem. See, in Texas, the Conservative party wasn't Republican until Reagan. From the Civil War up to that time, Texas farmers only recognized the Democrats as Conservative. And Gore, at the time that Perry supported him, was pro-life, and a moderate candidate. Perry had spent his life as a Democrat, doing what he felt was best for his country. He served as a pilot in the Air Force, and he towed the Conservative line. After that election year, Perry finally gave up on the Democrats. Gore was starting to talk "funny" about the environment and things were really changing -- namely REAGAN, but it was all over. Anyway, Perry switched from conservative Democrat to conservative Republican and has never looked back. Even Palin endorsed him as the "real deal" when it comes to conservatism. That's the truth. You can check it out at his website, www.rickperry.org, or you can listen to the Perry haters on this website for your info.

And John Kerry was an ensign on a guided missile frigate in a combat zone. I'm not saying anything good or bad about Perry - I don't know enough about the man - but military service does not give him a pass on the kind of questions other candidates have to answer.

I’m in for Perry. Face it, despite all the talk for the next year, it will be Perry. It’s so obvious.

The smell of fear is palpable on the establishment left and the establishment right. I remember Reagan being treated this way in the runup to the ‘80 election.

Just another "twist the facts to imply guilt by association" hit piece. The Perry haters are really out in force with their lies, half-truths, and distortions.
Of course Perry worked with the Arabs, he also works with the Israelis, the Chinese, the Mexicans, and every other nationality he can find to generate jobs and wealth in Texas . . . just as every other governor of every other state and every member of Congress has done.
Lies in the guise of truth. Perry was a Democrat yep and almost every conservative in the South was as well up until the mid to late 80's. The Republicans were the only electable party in the South and if a conservative wished to hold office, he had to run as a Democrat.
Perry switched parties right after that run by Al Gore and has been a Republican longer than he was a Democrat. While he was a Democrat, he was a member of "the Pit Bulls," a fiscally conservative group of budget hawks who fought against big spending.
It appears that some people just can't defend their own candidates so they lie and smear their opponents . . . used to be only liberals were that cynical and dishonest, but now with the libertarian movement, we are seeing the same behavior.
Where did the Agha Kahn story originate? Why that well known bastion of conservative thought, Salon Magazine, of course and we all know how truthful Salon has been in the past./rolleyes Try learning the truth instead of just parroting what you have read on some hack attack website.
Here is a counterpoint to this garbage.
Debunking the Rick Perry "Pro-Sharia" School Curriculum MythFirst, who IS this Aga Khan fellow? The worst that Geller [and others who are making these allegation] can say is that, in the past (the very distant past, by the way the 11th Century, to be exact), the Ismaili Muslims (the sect led by Aga Khan) gave rise to the Assassins! Yep, and in the 14th Century the Vatican was forcing Jews to convert or flee Spain.
But back to the present, kay?
These days, Aga Khan and the Ismailis are seen by other Muslims as friends of the U.S. and Israel, and they are often persecuted. They reject burqas and gender apartheid, as well.
Here's another little gem for you. Perrys friendship with Khan did not deter the Israelis from presenting him with the
Defender of Jerusalem Award.
Don't we get enough lies and distortions from the left, do we now have to have conservatives engage in the same sort of dishonest behavior? It's like reading MSM articles about George Bush or Sarah Palin, the same smears, the same veiled allusions, the same guilt by association.
I tell you, the Perry haters are real quality people . . . sort of like Keith Olbermann and RAchel Maddow with the same allegiance to truth.
Oh well, haters are gonna hate and liars are gonna lie.

he was the campaign manager for Gore’s first pres run in 1988. he is no conservative - he is a lime light politician - he loves it and he “hogs” it. He spends money like it is his not the taxpayer - look into his 200,000,000 Tech fund which looks a lot like the Obama green jobs funds.
