“Will Barack Obama have a similar accomplishment? Or will he be seen as impotent against our enemies, as was Jimmy Carter?”
Is this a trick question?...lol
Correction,
S / not S.
More like James Earl Soetoro.
Dewey ran as the RINO prototype on a platform of increased spending on public housing and expanding Social Security.
Republicans stayed home and the low turnout reflects this.
Should have said “Or will he be seen as our enemy?” Truman took a tough stand against communists...now we have one in the White House.
That’s Harry S Roosevelt MLK Kennedy Lincoln Obama
Obama wouldnt make a pimple on Harry Truman’s arse.
It is a travesty to see Harry Trumans name mentioned in an article about this Muslim loser.
The only thing Obama is good at is spending money we don’t have. Spending like a Rodney King who just hit the Lotto.
>>S / not S.<<
Makes you wonder if it was Barone or the editor. Either way, it is a stupid, if common, mistake and totally unacceptable from those who write or edit for a living (i.e. par for the course for the last 25 years).
Thanks for the instructions; I was thinking you meant SOB ama or sob ama as in crybaby.
You left out the insane zero trying to compare himself to Reagan.
Truman was a traitor to the US, sold em up the river in favour of the UN, look at the korean conflict, also look how MacArthur was treated after a successful attack. The UN was playing both sides. The secretary general is a communist always has been and Truman was involved in this too. The real heroes always end up dead or disgraced it seems... ie Patton.
MacArthur was way,way out of line. Truman was correct in firing him.
Never a huge fan of Truman, who was the ultimate machine hack. But he was right twice: dropping the bomb, and dropping dugout dug.
We disagree badly.
>> “MacArthur was way,way out of line. Truman was correct in firing him.” <<
.
You would fit in better at DU.
>> “Truman was a traitor to the US, sold em up the river in favour of the UN” <<
.
Absolute right.
Truman was a traitor to the core. Mac tried to redirect him but was somewhat clumsey in his methods. He was a general, not a very effective politician.
Æthelblack the Unready.
More like the little man on the wedding cake. And I know who I’d really like to be the Truman to his Tom Dewey.
we can disagree, but the fact is, any information from the allies in Korea was fed through the UN directly to the communists, that’s why MacArthur did his surprise attack, and only told a handful of trusted officers, he suspected the other side knew every move they made and they did thanks to whitehouse. If that’s not traitor’s behavior, I don’t know what is.
