You’re stating the ideal, which everyone here agrees with. But we are talking here about a Marxist state like Illinois. Nothing ideal about their thinking.
Actually, I’m not talking about an ideal, I’m talking about a goal. Conservative activism means taking back the power from the government and investing it where it belongs, that of with the people. For far far too long, government’s power has expanded, while the people’s has greatly diminished, and until we reverse this decline, we’ll constantly be disappointed in our candidates.
We send them to government office to reduce government, not expand it. And if need be, we’ll keep hunting until we find politicians who’ll do it.
