August 16 Wisconsin recall election results from the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel
44EAGLE RIVER, Wis (Reuters) - Voters in two Wisconsin State Senate districts head to the polls on Tuesday in the last of nine recall elections triggered by the fight earlier this year over Republican-backed curbs on the union rights of public workers.
In Tuesday's two final special elections, Jim Holperin and Robert Wirch -- two Democrats who opposed the anti-union measure and even fled the state for weeks in an unsuccessful effort to prevent its passage -- are defending their seats.
Holperin seems to be in the tighter race. His rival is Kim Simac, founder of the Northwoods Patriots, a Tea Party group. Though Simac is a political novice, the district has leaned Republican in the three years since Holperin was elected.
No matter who wins, Republican Governor Scott Walker and his Republican allies will retain control of the legislature, where the battle over public workers' union powers was waged earlier this year with public protests, legislative maneuvering and court challenges.
With seven of the nine recalls over, Republicans have managed to keep control of the state senate -- 17 to 16 if they score no wins on Tuesday -- because Democrats failed to unseat three Republican state Senators in the key round of six GOP senate recalls last week.
Always two there are, a master and an apprentice.
Amen, onyx. AMEN!!
Sounds like it’s heavy so far. The MacIver Institute ( http://twitter.com/#!/MacIverWisc ), a conservative WI think tank, is posting frequent updates on Twitter.
Hiya dear friend! I’m going to go pray more, from my bubble bath, but I’ll be back to monitor and hopefully, participate on this thread!
GOD is faithful!
Ewwww, is that barrys bus??? It looks like a coffin!
It’s probably a scam to try to get people to contribute money to them.
Their site had up to the minute reports on the results of last week’s election, so I didn’t suspect at the time that it might be phony. But since then, I haven’t seen this story corroborated anywhere else, so I suspect it is bogus.
Yes, but which is it? I guess we shall soon see....
Thanks!

Bumping so I can get back here when the polls close. Praying for Wisconsin!
The madness has to end. Hopefully we can take these seats. I’m hoping we’ll take back two. One would be ok.
As ever, praying hard for our state.
It does look like The Devil’s Bus, or maybe The Grim Reaper.
When do the polls close?
Mark...and praying for WI.
Not to defend anything that Obummer may have to do with this bus trip, but those buses were selected and purchased by the Secret Service, or so I’ve been informed, and are intended to be used for other official purposes. They were not obtained solely to support O’s current re-election campaign jaunt, although the timing of their delivery and shakedown cruise seems somewhat suspect.
Perhaps that Navy term, “shakedown,” that came so easily to mind has a certain subliminal relevance to the current jaunt across Iowa.
Unless we needed this guy to gain control of a legislative body we should have NOT financed his campaign nor let him use our good name.
We’re fighting hard here. I’m so proud to be from Wisconsin. We will win. We’ve had enough, we’re done with it. We want FREEDOM! Obama is a loser, and we’re rejecting all of it. ALL OF IT!
