Indianola, Iowa — About 60 people sit on folding chairs in a parking lot adjoining a mostly empty sports bar. The entire neighborhood looks tired, like it has seen better days and is hanging on to respectability by a taut thread. The candidate is already 20 minutes late to this town hall, which was slated for a quarter to noon.
Then, just like that, we’re not in Kansas (or Iowa) anymore.
The music shifts from marching-band-style tunes to Elvis. A few beats later, the Bachmann campaign bus becomes visible. It slowly pulls into the parking lot, parking in a position such that it will be right behind Michele Bachmann as she speaks. After a pack of staffers and family amble out of the bus, Bachmann swings on out, waving and radiantly smiling, her presence revitalizing the atmosphere.
Much of Bachmann’s speech consists of her usual tropes: railing against Obamacare, touting her sustained opposition to any debt-ceiling hike, and stressing the importance of the 2012 election. She stands on a platform surrounded by a circle of supporters and answers a handful of questions afterwards.

She's feisty and fearless. She's not intimidated by the left. Some say she's a little aloof...but she's a warrior. Out there every day for how long now, taking all the shots, not complaining, and plowing through.
Not all positive about her in it but does capture the moment.
In Late 2008 when Matthews set her up on his program with Colin Powell’s help and Pelosi targeted her for defeat few would have guessed she would be here now almost three years later taking on the MSM face to face as a leading candidate for POTUS.
Too Polished??? She is not following in others footsteps shooting herself in the foot. She has proved she is NO Sharon Angle and takes on the MSM face to face without blunders.
Obama was the “rock star” before. We don’t need any more rock stars.
That is what I was thinking too. When the entire democrat machine and 2/3rds of the GOP machine are out to get you...there is no room for error and she has to be that guarded. The political elites of both parties want her GONE.

Fact.
Bachmann people kill me. They spent the last 3 years complaining about the Obama koolaid drinkers who voted for his speeches and how he has no experience and the first chance they get , the start guzzling the first republican koolaid they can - Bachmann. All speeches , no resume.
I’ll openly support either Bachman-Palin-Perry. The one who gets the GDP going higher faster is my favorite. I like Perry’s promise to make Wahington DC matter less in our lives than ever before. I’m sure Bachman feels the same way.
Immigration reform is a close second. A corrolary is immigration expectation with respect to culture. That is, immigrants adapt our core culture, not the other way around.
I like Bachmann and Palin a lot, Romney somewhat less
and Perry somewhat lesser still( Dem turncoat, highhanded, wanted to put a superhighway through my former rancho).
At the end of the day I’ll support the GOP nominee.
