No, the voter ID law won’t be ignored.

MALDEF tried to get our new law requiring people to prove citizenship in order to get a driver’s license overturned. The judge said that DPS couldn’t require more documents than ICE and that immigrants with short term or about to expire visas could not be denied a Texas drivers license. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/07/29/judge-prohibits-texas-from-denying-drivers-licenses-to-legal-immigrants/

I am surprised that you would dismiss the Governor’s pattern of acts as “He either wants votes or cover his rear end” or “doing the Charles During shuffle in Best Little Whorehouse in TX.”

Don’t be to sure. Houston voters voted down the Red Light law here in Houston only to see it come back right or wrong by the Mayor.

I guess what I am trying to say is why do all these good things when you are pushing the very thing that is causing them to begin with?

Gov Perry may have signed an order to enforce Voter ID; but he is pushing immigration which is one of the main reasons for Voter ID. It kind of defeats it; doesn’t it?
