I dont think the VP pick is going to be a congressman. I also dont think a freshman senator makes a good choice, especially given the resume and performance of our current president.

You have a point but VP picks tend to be political and I believe that 4 years as VP is enough OJT to turn either a 13 year Congressman or a freshman Senator into presidential material.
I don’t think it makes sense at all, and I don’t think it’s going to happen. We shall see. I HOPE it doesn’t happen, as it negates an entirely sound and workable line of attack, and would show a lack of judgment on the part of our presidential nominee. Find someone who already has relevant executive experience, someone who is already prepared to take the helm should the need arise. People are skittish. They want competence. It’s bad enough some of our voters think a MN Congressman should be president. Congressman from MN? Freshman senator? No thanks.
