Casey Anthony's legal team tells TMZ they will fight the judge who just rejected their claim that Casey served her probation for check fraud while she sat in jail during her murder trial ... and if they lose Casey will have to return to Florida in 11 days.

Has there been any news about where she’s getting treatment? That is if she even remains there for long. I tend to think she’ll use the time there to her advantage just as a “hideout” for a time. Once she gets board and has some money in her pocket she’ll be long gone.

I think the media isn’t going to give Casey much press until they’ve sealed a “special interview”...that would increase their ratings. Most weathered the trial and now have pretty much moved forward.....while Casey hides out in whatever sanctuary she’s at. She’ll become news again once she starts to move away from that....I don’t think she’ll be “confined” anywhere for long....only as it serves her purpose....then she’ll go on the run again.

This probation issue likely will fade out as well...only the attorneys will want to see it go the long run...fills their revenue pockets.

I think the Casey Anthony case is important - all crime against chidren is important. And it plays to one of FR’s most important and enduring themes: the corruption of our culture.

That a woman could get off after all the evidence compiled, sickens me.

I go to Rush occasionally, too. Usually, I just tune into his show. I think he’s as good today as he’s ever been. He’s the chairman of the board as far as I’m concerned.

Nice to see you again, indylindy!

This thread was set up for a specific reason and that is to discuss cases. This happens to be the case we are discussing; therefore, would appreciate your not coming aboard if you have nothing to contribute.

We hope you will cooperate and help make this thread what it is intended for and that is a discussion thread.

Thank you.

I’m interested, and I hadn’t heard. So thanks for the ping. For the record, I don’t “worry” about this case, but I do “worry” about the direction our legal system is taking. More people should be sounding the alarm.

If you're so darned concerned about other topics, why aren't you on those threads instead of bugging people on this one? Or are you one of those people who has a defective computer mouse that only clicks on articles you don't like?

They are self-made “thought police.” They think others should only think about what they want them to think about. It’s a liberal trait, but sometimes we see it here, too.

I worry about the fine line which separates defending a truly innocent defendant and protecting the rights of a defendant presumed innocent, but in reality guilty as sin.

The line was not so fine in this case. The problem was that they had some really stupid jurors (you only had to listen to some of the interviews to verify that), and one or two who I think wanted to have the verdict that would sell best for a book or movie. (Didn’t work out so great, tough luck.) For our jury system to work correctly, we need both intelligent (not just book learning, but the ability to reason as well) and ethical people to sit on them. A reasonable jury would have found this woman guilty.

Both judges have been very clear on their intent and purpose regarding Casey’s probation. She is to serve it.

it has been reported that Casey has signed a 6 figure book deal where she will name the father of Caylee who she says is still alive and talk about her family.

Words fail me.

Make no mistake...Casey should be sitting on death row.

Ignorant jurors aside, I do not believe the prosecution proved their case. Too much junk science along with a failure to adapt to the tactics used by Baez. Also, so much of what could have clinched the deal never made it into court because it was hearsay. The big family blowup the night before is a perfect example.

We will undoubtedly meet up again on threads about the corruption of our beautiful country.

I always thought the “Casey Anthony” freepers were some of the nicest and most decent people on this entire board.

The so-called “junk science” was never used by the prosecution. It was brought in by the greasy defense attorney and his hillbilly partner during the summation.

And as someone who watched the case from the first time Cindy Anthony appeared on The Today Show, her hair beautifully styled as she preened for the cameras, I knew something was rotten in the state of Denmark - if you get my drift.
