No. I do. I would only vote for Giuliani over Obama (unless I lived in NYC). I get that the Republicans are just as much the enemy as the Democrats. But I also know that the party has the power. It's our job to turn the rudder of the Republican ship....to the right. But I'm not naive. I understand that there are hoops to jump in order to get elected, and if Palin wants to get elected, she'll have to access the Republican money machine. She will never do that being a purist, so for now, she is a kingmaker, and that's all.

I know Rick Perry. I've known him all my life. I know what he's about. I know his parents and what they are about. He IS a conservative. Texas is a unique place with 64% of the Mexican border. It's tough. And Perry has done us proud. He is sharp as a razor, he's handsome for the shallow voters, he can raise money and walk the line with the Republican party and is infinitely electable. He believes in free markets, states rights, border security, TORT reform, balanced budget, low taxes. He loves this country, has served this country. And he loves God. If what I've described isn't conservative enough for you, then so be it. I don't apologize for supporting him. He'll be a wonderful president.

I love how “being a purist” is considered to be a disqualifier by folks like yourself.

Did you ever stop and think that maybe we’re in the mess we’re in because “purists” are despised, and compromisers are elevated?
