What was left over from the taxidermist(s) were things like bear heads, antelope heads, etc. Marlin, too. The types of ‘trophies’ that sportsmen like to display. Various prey he’d hunted and then graced his home. He’d take trips to AK, where an airplane would drop the hunters off at some wilderness area, leave them for a week of hunting, then pick up the hunters and whatever they’d bagged, with the latter going off to the taxidermist.
What was left over from his business after the looting, burning, etc. was everything. Seriously, he took at least one (probably more) rifle downtown to his liquor store and sat in a chair behind the counter with the rifle very obviously pointed out. No one touched his property, as they burned the rest of the street for blocks on end.
Interesting. You’d take one government-caused or exacerbated set of problem and replace it with another??? Why?

That's a loaded question. I am suggesting that years of entitlement mentality and education misinformation have led to immature children reaching adulthood.
I believe that this may be somewhat reversed by promoting pride in service to our country. Along with an opportunity to present a more positive side of history, some lessons on personal responsibility, and pride of accomplishment.

Then start supporting patriotism programs such as what the VFW offers at local schools through local posts. NOT government conscription, which is no more than legalized slavery.
Or they could volunteer (key word: volunteer) at a VA hospital. I know my time volunteering there led me to appreciate the sacrifices of men in World War II.
