NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- A Louisiana man is accused of bludgeoning, decapitating and dismembering his disabled 7-year-old son and leaving the boy's head near the street so the child's mother would see it - a killing that brought seasoned police officers to tears, authorities said Monday.

Jeremiah Lee Wright, 30, of Thibodaux waived his right to an attorney and confessed to killing Jori Lirette within 30 minutes of being brought to the police station Sunday, Police Chief Scott Silverii said.

The only comfort comes from knowing that God’s vengeance is overwhelming and everlasting. Prayers for the rest of the family who lost a son and a..baby daddy.

Probably a combination of steroids and anti-depressants.

"Wright told police "that he'd gotten to the point where he was tired of taking care" of the boy"

And this is all he could think up as a solution? Did giving the kid up for foster care or adoption ever cross his mind? Well, life (and beyond) is certainly going to get easier for him now. (rolls eyes)

Again?

That makes how many times this was printed?

This is such an awful story, I think one printing was enough.

Any enlightening pitbull stories?

Time for an eye for an eye. You know this monster’s attorney will try to get him declared insane and he will be spared whatever the inmates would do to him.

First time I’m seeing this article. This so so sick, if he was tired of taking care of the kid, surely their state had resources for special needs kids.

“First time I’m seeing this article. This so so sick, if he was tired of taking care of the kid, surely their state had resources for special needs kids.”

The State of Louisiana as a government entity has scant resources for any special needs issues.

Louisiana the place however teems with people who would have been willing to help in any way. A kinder general population I have never seen, especially when it comes to family and above all else children.

This just makes my heart ache to think of the torture that little guy suffered at the hands of this gross man. Why bother with a trial? I’m not sure if LA has the death penalty or not, but, they could save a lot of taxpayer money, since he confessed, and kill him now.

“This so so sick...”

I agree.

This is why it makes me ill to see these awful stories repeated or even printed the first time. To print these articles in the first place on FR is some kind of perversion of which I don’t understand.

A hanging is just too darn quick for this animal...

There should be an American Idol type contest, with entrants being torturers from the worlds worst third world police states, and this animal is their play thing... whoever makes him scream the loudest wins...
