She also visited Hannibal MO:

We spent a great afternoon in “Americas Hometown,” as Hannibal, Missouri, is famously called. Of course, Hannibal plays an important role in American literature as the hometown of Samuel Clemens. This town on the Mississippi River and his boyhood adventures here were the inspiration for many of Mark Twains most famous works.
Mark Twains wit was evident when he spoke or wrote about Hannibal. Reminiscing about his humble origins here, he once said: “Now in Hannibal where I was brought up, we never talked about money. There was not enough money in the first place to furnish a topic of conversation.”
Im sure this town also instilled in him the decency and common sense that he would hold to all his life. As an old man far removed from his boyhood days, he famously told others: “Always do right. This will gratify some people, and astonish the rest.”

And also visited Springfield IL

We had a wonderful morning touring the Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield, Illinois. About a year ago, I was honored to give a speech before the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. for the Restoring Honor Rally. Standing in the shadow of that massive monument to the Great Emancipator might make one forget that this heroic leader came from very humble beginnings in what was considered at the time a very remote part of the country. In fact, the east coast establishment long dismissed Lincoln as just a frontier political figure, and he never really won over that establishment. But it was as a “prairie lawyer” in Springfield that Lincoln honed the oratory and debate skills he used to persuade and inspire his fellow Americans in freeing the slaves and preserving our Union. These heartland roots are what made him who he was.
It was truly inspiring to learn more about this great man from those who tend to his legacy with such devotion. We learned a wealth of information about the Civil War, the Emancipation Proclamation, and Lincolns life. Many thanks to the professional staff, volunteers, and historians at the Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum for all they do to preserve this important aspect of American history and educate future generations.

And I also believe that I saw someplace that she visited somewhere that had something to do with Harry Truman, but I cannot find a link to where I saw it.
These buses are not safe, clean, and green.
Could be Obama omits enough toxic gas when he speaks to fuel all three of those buses.
At the very least, Sarah is having a good time taunting the left-wing media. Go Sarah!
It’s got to piss the media off so badly that she does not kiss their butts. For Sarah it is about meeting the people, not about placating those who only seek to vilify her.
bump
I sure hope she runs, but if she doesn’t, I will forgive her happily because of what she is doing to the MSM every day. This is more fun than we all have had in this long, long three years!
Oh, I don't know. Someone with a journalism degree might end up in the White House! LOL!
I wish you people would tell us what state places like Dixon are in.
I wish you people would do a little homework on your own once in awhile. FYI it’s in Illinois.
Unlike other pols who would die for a media swarm, Sarah Palin wants to meet the people when she visits the historical sites.
“I wish you people would do a little homework on your own once in awhile. FYI its in Illinois.”
You mean I have to write people’s articles for them?”
She’s campaigning from behind.
No, but I don’t have to rewrite them for your benefit either. You addressed me as “you people” as if I wrote the article. I didn’t, so it was not for me to write an addendum to it to explain exactly where Dixon is.
Cool pic. Thanks. ;o)
Any good article writer gives the relevant particulars. How hard would it have been to write “Dixon, IL”?
I don’t think it would be difficult at all. However, it is a little local paper that probably is rarely read by anyone from outside it’s area, so maybe the writers just assume that readers know where Dixon is. Who knows and at this point who cares?
