Rush mentioned today that they cost us the taxpayers$ 1.1 MILLION apiece. Now the SS says they will be used for their other charges over time, and I have no problem having the SS procuring equipment to do their job. But as someone pointed out, if this is “_residential business”, then why is is the bus painted with Øbama’s logo like a campaign bus (not the Presidential Seal), which HIS CAMPAIGN would have to pay for.

This is a campaign tour, nothing else. The taxpayers should not be paying for it.

Don’t worry Freebird, we are on the same page.

But we have no one with the Cjnes to do anything about it.

Republican candidates shuld be raising holy hell over this, but I haven’t heard one mention it.

The Press almost shat themselves when Palin used her own money to go on tour, but Obama spends ours, and everything is cool.

I suspect the campaign will have to throw some money in for the use of the buses just like they have to when the President is on the campaign trail and is flying AF1. I remember that Bush had to pay something but it is no where near what it cost to operate the transports. The next President be it Palin or Perry will have the use of them then.
