It’s a criminal matter so legal terms should at least be in the ballpark. If a guy punches another guy in the nose, it shouldn’t be called attempted murder. Hyperbole has no place in a discussion of legal matters. Call this what it is: larceny.

I agree with your call for correct terminology.

Therefore, I am correcting a minor error in your sentence to:
“Call this what it is: rioting with larceny, intimidation, and it is “a race based hate crime””.

There is no hyperbole in my terminology.

Ask the 7-11 store owner, (or any robbery victim), if he feels he was fiscally assaulted.

Hyperbole has no place in a discussion of legal matters.

That isn't your call to make, and if you are too drunk or stupid to notice that the courts and legislature already abandoned any pretense of practicing that themselves then you need to lay off of the keyboard until you sober up.
