The number of illegal immigrant college students paying in-state tuition and receiving financial aid at Texas' public colleges and universities continues to climb, according to state higher education records.
During the fall semester, 12,138 students - about 1 percent of all Texas college students - benefited from the state law granting in-state tuition, according to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Most of the immigrants among those students are illegal, and some others are not legal permanent residents or U.S. citizens.
Texas awarded about $33.6 million in state and institutional financial aid to those students between fall 2004 and summer 2008

Texas awarded about $33.6 million in state and institutional financial aid to those students between fall 2004 and summer 2008Multiply that by 50 states, as Perry wants, and we have a real (expensive) problem.

RINO Rick-Bots will soon explain why the Perry’s In-State Tuition for Illegal Aliens is good, while it is bad in other states.
To: Carismar
For goodness sakes El hefe Senor Ricardo has been pushing for open borders in public speeches as recently as 2007. Not a very appreciative bunch.

RINO Rick-Bots will soon explain why the Perrys In-State Tuition for Illegal Aliens is good, while it is bad in other states. They've basically already attempted to explain this away.
It's truly amazing and about as disingenuous as it gets.

The lax attitude Perry has on this subject will make it next to impossible for me to support him.
I'll always vote against Obama but I'd never donate to Perry or vote for him in a primary.

Not only that, but as the politicians aid and abet this lawlessness, the up front on going cost are bad enough, but as tens of thousands more illegals and their kids flood in, the leftist public school teachers start complaining about over-crowding, class rooms jammed, demands of more new schools, more buses, more bi-lingual education resources, more new taxes...Them and their unions beat these drums constantly...
As legitimate tax paying citizens twist in the ice cold wind.

I visited my 84 year old aunt yesterday. She was born and raised in Texas as a Southern Baptist. She said Perry reminds her of one of the old time Baptist preachers. She does not like him. Nothing against Baptists, just her observation.
