President Obama spoke of lofty intentions to help the world reduce greenhouse gases when he addressed delegates to United Nations talks in Copenhagen in 2009. “We have charted our course, we have made our commitments, and we will do what we say,” he said. “Now I believe that it’s time for the nations and people of the world to come together behind a common purpose.” But the Obama administration is on track to fall more than $200 million short on its $1 billion pledge to help prevent the cutting and burning of tropical rain forests. Lawmakers have slashed requests

Presidential Candidate Rick Perry calls global warming “all one contrived phony mess that is falling apart under its own weight.”

What do you have to say in response Obozo?

Hey libtards, allowing more logging in US national forests
means fewer jobs outsourced to Brazilian or Indonesian lumberjacks
who are cutting down their own rainforests. But then again, who cares?
The evil CO2 is causing more worldwide tree growth.

But the Obama administration is on track to fall more than $200 million short on its $1 billion pledge to help prevent the cutting and burning of tropical rain forests...

Why should we pay someone not to cut down trees?

If we are a racist nation, that racism emanates from 1600 Penn. Ave.

Ironically, the main reason that rain forests are being cut down today is to clear land to grow sugar. The sugar is needed to make ethanol, to burn in cars — to fight climate change. Nutty, no?

It’s going to cost the American taxpayers ONE BILLION dollars to “prevent the cutting and burning of tropical rain forests?” Who the hell is the dumbass that made that pledge?

If there were only some non-essential items we could cut to reduce spending.......

“It’s going to cost the American taxpayers ONE BILLION dollars to “prevent the cutting and burning of tropical rain forests?” Who the hell is the dumbass that made that pledge?”

Actually it was George Bush when he signed on to Agenda 21 in ‘92.
In the Agenda 21, Preamble we are informed that:

1.4. The developmental and environmental objectives of Agenda 21 will require a substantial flow of new and additional financial resources to developing countries, in order to cover the incremental costs for the actions they have to undertake to deal with global environmental problems and to accelerate sustainable development.

Despite Agenda 21 never being approved by Congress it is promoted by every agency of the govt. Go to fedcenter.gov do a search for Agenda 21 and the link will take you directly to the 40 chapter document that is the plan to control every human activity. You can also go to the Dept. of State website and read the latest U.S. report on our progress on implementing it. The UN requires that we report our progress to them.

I think it was this sentence that threw me off. I should know better that to trust the WaPo.

Man, I have to stop eating and drinking by this computer when I check out this site. Some of the pictures, such as this one, cause me to LOL and sometimes makes a mess!!

I wonder if this approximates Obama’s own opinion of himself!!!!

How do liberals explain this? In April 1977, Time magazine runs a cover story about the coming ice age. But somewhere along the way, now we have to worry about global warming instead.

Well, were the liberals wrong then, or are they wrong now, about the future of the climate patterns in the world? Or are we just supposed to jump to attention as liberals announce the new crisis of the day? And we’re supposed to forget that we were supposed to panic about the next ice age back in ‘77???

This means the US has spent 800 million dollars of our hard earned tax money to pay off countries with jungles. The rest sounds like a good budget cut.
