I am glad to see these are not just random illegals that are busting into the country getting a free ride.

They're anchor babies, damn near as bad. Read the 14th Amendment and see how it has been raped.

I supposed you think these people should be eligible for the presidency as well.

The parents of these young "citizens" are thieves and the are still stealing by having their kids get discounted tuition.

Let me share something, not out of argument but so you’ll at least see why it is so hard to see things as clearly as you when you actually live here in Texas.

For us here, many of these kids you are talking about are our children’s friends(and believe me, I have well-behaved, straight A, conservative children, kids doing well in college now too)! LOL These are our children’s friends who stay overnight at our homes and talk to us about their lives, go to the movies with our family and have to be quiet when we tell them they’re getting too loud (along with our own kids), do Boy Scout activities with our children, don’t know a lick of Spanish if they tried, and don’t know anything but an American way of life.

And before you start dissing us for associating with these kids, realize that thousands upon thousands of families here are of Hispanic origin, most probably here legally, having been raised by long-time American citizens. We don’t know if their parents have been here for 30 years living under the radar or 100 years as American citizens. These are our neighbors, our friends at church, our co-workers children, heck... our pastor’s children. We only know them as our friends.

While I understand amnesty is a political hot potato for politicians, and I’m not sure what I think about it, I want to share with everyone here that we are not talking about non people here. We are talking about real kids, real kids who have never lived anywhere else and don’t know anything other than American ways. While one can certainly have a good standing against amnesty based on laws of the land, you all should at least know we are faced with issues of reality here. We have grown up with many of these people, and to us, they are just like us. It’s hard to reign down as hard as others may be able to when you live with this kind of reality, but please know that for us, it’s just sometimes hard to deal with.

As for taking something away from others, I don’t see how that happens when there are colleges and universities all over Texas who will take more students. Someone going to a college should not stop another child from going to college, unless they just were not college material to begin with.

So... I’m not just disagreeing with what your point of view may be. I’m just sharing what it is like in many places here in Cowboy Country so you won’t have an ill conceived idea of who these kids are or what they are like. Granted, not all are great, as in any population. It just that most are just like US.

What I think we can all easily agree and not have conflicts like mentioned above is on border security. If the illegal aliens had been stopped on our borders to begin with, we wouldn’t have to deal with these problems.

Feel free to belittle me. Just know I’m only telling you what it’s like here and why it is hard to see these kids as the pieces of dirt some of you simply portray them to be.
