Tell me exactly how Perry won't be as big, if not a bigger spender than Obummer is right now.

Hyperbole much? Texas' GDP has grown dramatically over the past 10 years so it is understandable that spending would also increase.Texas' population grew almost twice as fast as the nation's over the past 10 years. That means more highways, schools, hospitals, prisons etc.

Texas government is highly decentralized which is why 85% of all public debt happens at the local level. This kind of spending is normally supported by revenue and user fees. Standard & Poor's gives Texas an AA+ rating because it has an outperforming economy, strong cash management and constitutional limits on debt. S&P said that "Texas has what we consider to be a very low net debt burden." Texas borrows to build things (highways, hospitals, schools, treatment plants, prisons). Those things will ensure the continued growth of the Texas economy well into the future. Yeah, just like Obama's doing for us from Washington, DC.

Anyone trying to compare spending in Texas with attempts by the Marxist in the White House to destroy our country isn't paying attention or doesn't understand the difference.

To remove the liberal speak, "revenue" means TAXES and "user fees" is another way of saying TAXES for services that are supposed to be provided by TAXES, but the "Government" needs the "revenue" so they created a user fee.

This is how you justify a 100% spending increase? "Revenue" and "User Fees?"
