Perry's actually campaigning and in the race.

>>>MANCHESTER, N.H. — Gov. Rick Perry was swarmed by reporters and photographers from news outlets all over the country today, when he made a swing by a Energy Freedom Family Festival at the McIntyre Ski Area in Manchester, N.H.

Despite all the recording devises and cameras in his face, Perry tried to introduce himself to as many New Hampshire voters as possible. He also managed to eat a hamburger with his family, along the way.

It was mostly a friendly crowd for Perry on his first full day as a presidential candidate. The attendees were mostly part of a conservative bunch because the organizers of the Sunday event at the base of a grassy ski slope included the conservative groups Americans for Prosperity and Cornerstone Action.

Larry Gloekler a 58-year-old from Concord, N.H., had been waiting patiently to shake the governor’s hand as live country music flowed from a nearby tent at the base of the ski hill (and let’s face it, you really can’t call McIntyre a mountain).

Gloekler said he had been waiting for six months to meet Perry, whom he said he supports.

President Barack Obama is too much of a President Jimmy “Carter on steroids,” he said. The country needs a “Reagan on steroids,” he added.

Asked what it was about Perry, Gloekler said: “I like the way he talks.”

...After the hourlong visit, Perry darted off in a black Suburban.

He’s now headed to Iowa, another early-voting state.

But he’ll be back in New Hampshire soon. There are still a lot of hands to shake. <<< One last stop for Perry in New Hampshire before going to Iowa

I was wondering how he was doing in my neighboring state of New Hampshire. It’s a total bummer living here in Massachusetts as this state is true blue so we never get any visits from any of the candidates but I just may travel to New Hampshire to go see him. I wasn’t at all excited last election with McCain (until Palin was announced), but I’m excited already with Perry so it will be worth the cost of gas $$ to me.

And that's all he does...talk.
