It's easy to approve of Barry when you don't pay taxes anyway. We've got too many takers in this country and not enough givers.
Many folks are not paying taxes at the moment, despite having paid for their entire working lives, because they have lost their jobs, lost their business or are hanging on to their livelihood by their fingernails.
Retired people on SS paid into it, like it or not, all their working lives. They are not *takers*, per se. For many, it is barely enough to pay their heating bills. To add insult to injury, they have that retirement subsidy deducted for the cost of Medicare and then, they have to pay again for a supplemental policy because Medicare doesn’t pay much, but the patient is still liable.
Formerly high earners have spent time on Food Stamps in the past 3 years, through no fault of their own. Not us and I know several families who would be eligible, but are managing, but still a lot of folks have absolutely no choice. Many would gladly not have to take the subsidy.
It isn’t as simple any longer as who is taxed and who is subsidized. That is one of the sneaky ways this administration has changed America.
We do fit some of the above criteria and we hate zerO and will vote AB0 in the General, even if our favorite candidates do not make it past the primary.
