Did anyone notice that yesterday in Iowa
he was generally unable to look anyone in the eye
while greeting them?
Thought it was poor performance, but it was a predictor.

No one notice him at the fair....they have video of him walking around like a regular guy and hardly anyone paid him attention

He was whiny in Ames. Just plain mushy.

I noticed that, too, but that's kind of the way it is around here, at least, in the mid-state where I live. I call it the "looking at the corn" talk. It mostly happens with farmers, especially older farmers when you talk to them. I like to stand straight on with them and look them in the eye, but they'll shift to my side at an angle, and talk to you sideways, like they're looking out into their cornfield... (and usually the subject gets around to that, too)...So, I wonder if Pawlenty picked up some of that....not that I'm excusing it. I'm glad to see the RINO drop out.

I noticed something similiar in a TV interview. He was very uncomfortable defending his position against Bachman. You’ve got to be unflinching and he’s not.
