Romeny is done. If he cannot do better then this in the Midwest and he cannot win South of the Mason-Dixon line, where does he win?
Conspiracy theory of the day. All of these are facts:
Big operative in Pawlenty campaign is Vin Weber.
Weber used to work for Romney.
Someone convinced Pawlenty that attacking Bachmann was a good strategy. That attack was a disaster.
Bachmann won the straw poll.
Romney was the first to call and congratulate her.
Hmmmm.
I hope you’re right.
The Blue Bloods love him though, and he’s got tons of money.
As a slight aside and I’ll never mention it again, my very own column is up and doing quite well. It’s a paid gig, I am, you should smile, quite prolific, and my column is almost always in the Top Ten most read.

Oh dear Lord, yon readers should smile. I write about ...TADA...Reality TV.
Got me a fan base on Twitter and Digg, heh. I write about the most vapid of topics but I love it, yes I do. I write of Project Runway, Hell’s Kitchen, The Bachelorette, America’s Got Talent.
NEVER...does a word of politics exit my keyboard except I complained oncit about Obamer interupting The Bachelorette.
Heh.
The readers would swoon if they had any idea how political I am.
For now, it’s birdseed dresses and puppy pad skirts.
And yeah, I watch all this stuff.....heh.
But the other side of my brain watches and participates in this thread. Gotta be on an even keel, and being a middle child helps, to do this.
Heh.
I would like to believe that but it’s not so, Johnnie.
The Iowa straw poll is not a vote per se; rather, each candidate pays participants a sum of money which is then donated to the Iowa Republican party. The more you pay, the more votes you get.
Notice Ron Paul coming in second. Normally, he’s a fringe candidate—but in this case, his campaign paid out a lot.
Last time, in 2007, Romney WON this straw poll event. He then went on to LOSE the Iowa caucus in Jan of 2008! I suppose he didn’t want to spend so much and get nothing in return....
However, after all that being said, it gives momentum to candidates as they can say they won and the press will echo that. So in Bachman’s case she has a lot of wind in her sails now.
But as for Romney, he’ll (sadly) be baaaccckkk....
Nowhere, Romney cannot beat the Marxist Kenyan and I doubt he can win the nomination.
