To: MNJohnnie; Alas Babylon!

As a veteran of the 2000 primary battles here (I believe I was called every name allowable on FR, “harpy” and “Hag” seemed to be the favorites) and remembering how Bush supporters were demonized, I can tell you this:

I never forgot it, and it left a bad taste in my mouth for many conservatives on this board and also for the other candidates, including McCain. I had to muster every ounce of my common sense to put a sign in my yard, and Palin helped me do that.

There is no need for hateful criticism of any of the GOP candidates. If you think Bachmann doesn’t have enough executive experience or is too wedded to social conservatism, just say that. If you think Perry has too many questionable actions as governor, well list them.

There is no need to get personal about your doubts or criticisms. When I see those name-calling posts with no substance, the first thing I think of is that a leftist has registered to stir up trouble.

See you all later! I have some work to do!

Whew, I’m glad you clarified that.

I can still hate everything John Kerry stands for, does or says. I can still call him despicable.

I can also use the zero, 0, instead of the capital O when writing 0zero’s name.

But what about McCain, he's not a candidate for anything. Can't we continue to make gratuitous, derogatory and uncalled for remarks about the reach-across b@$+@rd?
