Those of us who attended the RPOF Presidency IV back in 2007 sadly, yet quickly realized that Fred Thompson was not a viable candidate. While he performed reasonably well during the televised debate, he was a walking disaster during his stump speech and he exited his own reception after barely ten minutes. His lovely wife Jeri stayed and worked the room in his absence.
Those of us who attended the RPOF event in 2007 reported our observations here about Fred Thompson's utterly disappointing appearance. We took a lot of heat from Fredhead Dreamers who called us all sorts of derogatory names and descriptions. It didn't matter that we went there hoping Thompson was the outstanding candidate.
