This is true but it eliminates Romney from being the spotlight kingpin.And LOL why do I have a feeling that if Palin won this many would be saying it counts big time?

I see two interesting observations based on comparison with the poll results four years ago:

1. Romney WON in 2007. Never mind that he didn't "compete" in this one, you would still think there would be a fair number of those 31% who voted for him around. There is no way for his camp to spin this - his support there has evaporated.

2. By my rough math, it looks like there were ~14000 votes cast in 2007. Several thousand more were cast today. That's a healthy increase, and thus a good sign.
