Palin: “Could I Support Somebody Like Mitt Romney? Yeah”…

DES MOINES, Iowa — 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin said Friday that she still hasn’t decided if she’s going to run for president. Palin is also undecided about whom she would endorse if she ultimately decided against entering the race.

Swarmed by media and supporters at the Iowa State Fair, the former governor of Alaska told The Daily Caller that she’s not concerned that Mitt Romney is considered the frontrunner at this time.

“No, nothing worries me at this point,” Palin told TheDC. “Could I support somebody like Mitt Romney? Yeah.”

When TheDC pointed out that some tea partiers have pledged to make sure Romney doesn’t get the nomination, Palin said, “I’m of the mind of ABO — Anybody But Obama, at this time.”

If she doesn’t run, let’s find a conservative we can all support to win the nomination.

Yeah, that'll work.

The FReeper motto is "My candidate is the ONLY REAL CONSERVATIVE and all the others are RINOS!"

A lot of the Palin detractors are still pissed about Arizona. Never mind that JD was a bad candidate who has repeatedly said she didn't cost him the election.

That was extremely telling — she was pretty pissed at Fox for misinterpreting what she said. I don’t blame her.

And I’m beginning to think, like others have said repeatedly, that she’s not likely to endorse anybody in the race, even if she doesn’t run herself.

“Thereby standing by her statement like a real, confident leader yet equating Romney to a ham sandwich thereby appeasing her supporters.”

Sarah Palin would totally lose me if she equated Romney to a ham sandwich. I like ham sandwiches, and so do my dogs.

When did opposition to trolling become "a Palin lovefest?"

When any disagreement whatsoever with Palin or her supporters became "trolling."

Your post was clear as mud.

FYI, Reagan’s 11th commandment was a fallacy. Created by Cal-GOP Chairman Gaylord Parkinson in 1966, the “slogan” was used to beat back attacks from liberal Republican SanFran Mayor George Christopher. Ten years later Reagan went after Ford in 1976 GOP primaries and almost scored the nomination. Reagan savaged Ford with attacks on both his domestic and foreign policy agenda and rightly so. The Ford campaign slung mud at Reagan, called him a cowboy and unqualified to be POTUS. This contentious campaigning went on through the primaries and into the GOP convention.

Romney would be one of the worst choices to run against Obama. So would Giuliani and the idiot, Ronpaul.

This forum seems to be getting awfully close to zotting anyone who won’t support Sarah. JimRob slapped me earlier, and I hate Romney as much as anyone else here.

PDS is someome like indylindy that comes on Palin threads, jumps in to the fray stirring up crap making baseless claims et all as a run through his/her posts show.

I myself have participated in a number of discussions with SP opponents where the tome and discourse were totally normal with no hate, accusations and so on. Happens all the time. Don’t equate PDS to disagreement as they are very different things.

Anyone acting like a catty schoolgirl with “TM” and “Saint Sarah” and “Godot” and all the rest will be met head on and hammered. The problem is that there is so MUCH PDS that it often devolves before legit differences are aired.

Thus my earlier statement and ping to the mods/JR.

And all you do is ankle bite. A one trick ankle biter, in fact. You’re one of the biggest bandwagon Palin thread pissers here, if not the biggest.

Wouldn’t most endorse a rock if it were the alternative to Obama?

Please do not create quotes and imply that I wrote them, Grizzled Bear.

I'm not even looking beyond the primaries. My focus is and always has been the primary candidates and Romney is second to last on my list next to Ron Paul.

That would be a hard sell. Remember, if Romney does win, that means Sarah didn’t get in the race, AND we couldn’t pick a good conservative to beat him. I would guess that some Palin supporters would not be so happy in that instance with Sarah, and wouldn’t be inclined to listen if she urged them to vote for Romney.

Instead of worrying about what we will do if Romney gets the nomination, let’s make sure that he doesn’t get the nomination.

Fox is into Romney like the dinosaur media is into Obama. They played footsie with him in ‘08. They under his table now.

The "anybody but Obama" crowd are the same as those who cried that "we gotta choose McCain! The media LUUUURRRRVVES him! They call him a Mah-Vuh-Ric! He's the only one who can win! Don't support a real conservative; they don't get media coverage!"

Screw that! When you say "anybody but Obama," you're begging the GOP to screw you over with a RINO.

NO MORE RINOs!

If that’s the post you’re referring to where ejdrapes was banned for allegedly according to you supporting Romney, I do not see that as a pushing romney post, maybe you do, but rather a general statement that a lot of people will vote for Romney over Obama if it comes down to those 2 choices and that is what this thread was about, Palin saying that very thing.

Perhaps you missed this classic whine thread then:

What's with the hatred of Michele Bachmann at Free Republic?

Proudly supported by the very people who jump all over Palin threads.

Posting a thread with a headline that somehow suggests that Palin has endorsed Romney... excluding the part of the story where Sarah corrected the spin... and then talking about stirring the pot in post #50.

Hopefully that will relieve you of your anguish and pain over this zot.

Actually. I am tired of deranged loons like you who never want to dicuss the facts or doubts people have about Palin. Not a one of you ever miss a Bachmann thread and none of you fail to insult her.

So what makes you so powerful and arrogant that you think you have some kind of carte blanche to decide you know better than anyone else and by golly, you get to decide what the intent of individuals are? You speak of keeping lists. Are you going to be able to keep up with that 2 months from now. Ha, I doubt it.

There are a whole lot of people out there that disagree with you. You best buck up and get used to it. You can bully people here, but it will not work anywhere else.
