Seems like everything was under control until Chief Wiggam ordered the dogs killed. An incident like this was bound to happen sooner or later considering how attached some folks are to their dogs.
It was just a matter of time before this happened. ‘Tis time to take the local ‘Cop Shop’ back and make sure the ‘Top Cop’ in your areas has become a member of Promise Keepers or otherwise shown a commitment to the Constitution.
Dogs everywhere are rejoicing......
What exactly was the “disturbance” which necessitated cops going to the home? Why was the cop around back? What conversation had he with the homeowner? Why did the police chief tell him to “shoot the dogs?”
If a cop were on my property, uninvited and for no good reason, intending to shoot my dog, I would have fire at him too!
A whole bunch of info is missing from this story. But perhaps the police habit of shooting dogs will end with this story. Or at least be slowed a bit.
Hi all. My name is George. I keep seeing the cop hating threads on freerepublic and keywords like donutwatch, and threads that call for shooting cops (like I did :-)), and I was just wondering.
Could I join here?

He just had this little bitty thing for shooting peoples' dogs.
A police officer comes on a man's property without a warrant and go to shoot his dogs. If he had no wararnt then he was engaging in arbitrary destruction of private property and was not doing so in the performance of any "duty." That is destroying a man's property without doing the paperwork first. That makes it arbitrary and obnoxious. I suppose the killing of the King's Agent deserves the death penalty under any circumstances, though.

Eternal rest Officer Robert Lasso.Prayers for his family.
Allentown attorney John J. Waldron, a prominent criminal defense attorney with 29 years of experience, said Hitcho's statements about telling Lasso to get off his property, can't justify homicide.Poor, poor pitiful Hitcho. Well, when he's on death row he might possibly be given computer access and he can log on to FR and commiserate with his fellow dope-smoke, cop-hating paulbots here in this thread.Hitcho's claim that Lasso needed a warrant to step foot in his yard doesn't justify homicide, either, he said, since Lasso was acting in his capacity as a police officer.
"Especially if they are in uniform and you know who they are," said Waldron, who also previously worked as an assistant district attorney for Lehigh County. "That is not self defense."
DiLuzio noted that firefighters don't need a warrant to put out a house fire, meter readers can access properties while working and utility workers often tread on private property.
He added that good police work involves responding to a call and, in the case of an argument involving more than one person, talking to as many people as may have been involved.
They won't be able to give him the "relief" he wants -- a walk on a murder charge -- but maybe he can find solace in their sympathies.
Maybe it's time right now, for all cop-haters here in FR to work together to get Hitcho honorary citizenship of France and a street named after him in a French town.
Viva la France!
