IIRC, Shirley Temple quit the acting business at age ten and went on to grow up and live a normal life. Saw a photo of her at twenty and she was a stunning beauty. But she wanted nothing more to do with Hollywood.

Did you know Shirley Temple is still alive? I was surprised to discover that, but I’m sure others here are aware.

A conservative Republican, too.

“Following her venture into television, Temple became active in the Republican Party in California, where, in 1967, she ran unsuccessfully for the United States House of Representatives in a special election to fill a vacant seat. She ran as a conservative and lost to liberal Republican Pete McCloskey, a staunch opponent of the Vietnam War.”

I don’t know about that. She became a politician.
