I think it is difficult to try to explain this virus to people who have their minds set on the topic. They don't realize that 80-90% of women will contact this by age 30, but luckily, 99% + fight it off, and do not get the cervical cancer.

Also, it is amazing how few men realize that they get this virus and that they are the primary means of transmitting, but even fewer realize they can get related cancers from it. In fact, some doctors recommend that young men also get this vaccination. If men and women both received this vaccination, it could most likely be eliminated, like polio was.

However, no matter how sound the science is and good intention are on eliminating this virus...the anti-vaccination crowd is going to be against it. I have basically given up trying to explain it to these types as they really do not understand it from a science standpoint.

So you would rather the state resort to the threats of the use of force and incarceration.

I understand the science perfectly well. I’m against this being a mandatory vaccination because it is not communicable under normal classroom or workshop circumstances.

The power of the government should not be limitless.

But maybe others will not be fooled by those voices if they understand this:

When the rate of death from infection is only slightly higher the the rate of death from vaccination, I don’t care to push a string, and I don’t care if you do.
