Perry is different then Bush in some key areas. Most notably he’s not as likely to lay down under partisan attacks. But he is far from without flaw. There isn’t one candidate rumored or actually running that I don’t have some issue with.

But as of this moment the way I see the race is that it is between Bachmann, Perry and Romney. Romney wins the nomination if one of the other two can’t emerge as the consensus choice of conservatives. I despise Romney and do not want to end up with another McCain because of conservative infighting.

Good points. There’s alot about Perry I like. There’s alot I don’t. Not candidate is perfect.

We need to make sure we focus on a Tea Party Congress. I doubt any GOP prez is going to veto any legislation coming out of that, except maybe for Romney.
