Final two recall elections could lead to states first tea party senator

Wednesday morning, just hours after state Republicans learned they had retained control of the state Senate by defeating four of the six Democratic challengers in the states historic recall elections, a flurry of activity began in the two remaining Senate districts up for grabs on Tuesday, Aug. 16, the fourth and final recall election day.
The seats, held by Democratic incumbents Jim Holperin of Conover and Robert Wirch of Pleasant Prairie, are the last of the nine recall elections initiated by voters since the state and Senate became divided over Gov. Scott Walkers plan to strip most collective bargaining rights from public workers.
Now, discontent over the fact that Holperin and Wirch joined their Democratic Senate colleagues in fleeing to Illinois in what turned out to be an unsuccessful attempt to block a vote on the collective bargaining bill may lead to a big first for tea party supporters in Wisconsin.
Sure, Sen. Glenn Grotham, R-West Bend, displays what has become a favorite symbol of the Tea Party movement, the yellow"Don't tread on me" flag on his Capitol officce door. And many other lawmakers speak at Tea Party events.
But Tea Party Patriots are looking for someone from the outside who has organized state residents around the movement. Kim Simac, the founder of the Northwoods Patriots, fits the bill. And she is challenging Holperin Tuesday for his Senate seat.

Surely at least one of all those children must’ve done SOMETHING reprehensible — like not washing before dinner or missing a homework assignment — to give a libs a club to beat her with, a la Palin.
WI FReepers — is there any polling data re: these two recalls?
LOL. She looks plenty tough to me. Do you realize how strong you have to be if you train horses all day? My DIL does that, and I wouldn’t dream of mixng it up with HER! LOL
Send her some money. She needs it. She made it through a primary to get here!
Thank you. May I ask if the following is true? This comes from TeaPartyExpress.org. They identified the Republican as being Dale Schultz who is being wooed by the Democrats in a previous email. I have the previous email.
“TEA PARTY TAKES THE FIGHT TO THE LEFT
Earlier this week we won a terrific victory in Wisconsin by preventing Democrats from taking control of the State Senate.
We currently hold a 1-vote majority there, but one Republican, who was previously a Democrat, is being wooed by the Left to return to the Democrat Party.
But we here at the Tea Party Express are fighting back. We’re launching a TV ad blitz against 2 Democrat Senators in Wisconsin who fled the state to try and deny Gov. Walker a vote on his budget repair legislation.
Since they abdicated their duties to the taxpayers, we are going to send them the message: You’re Fired!
But we need your help so we can purchase as many TV ads as possible.
Please support this effort by making a contribution - HERE. We need 250 people to contribute $100 or more in the next 24 hours. You can contribute as little as $5 up to the maximum allowed $5,000 contribution.”
BTW, I think a woman needs to be physically strong to be in the WI legislature. One of our GOP ladies was THREATENED with death by a Dem colleague after she voted for the budget.
Madison police willl do NOTHING to protect the GOP from the Unionistas and their cohorts. Kim looks like she can take care of herself.
Link?
Someone on another thread made a GREAT point that because the Dems failed Tuesday, they may have a real problem gettng their vote out next week..their base has no motivation...if we can get out turnout..we could take both

This is the link I got when I clicked on the heading of the email I got.
Dems are very depressed and this is a great time to take both the seats ! If possible contribute any small amount to the teaparty express ! That should nail the coffin ! I just did it(although it was the least amount allowed)!
one victory will scare the whole zombie union mob.
I’d rather give campaign donation directly to the candidate.
I agree with you. I will donate and vote for the man who agrees with my views.
She also writes patriotic, second amendment children’s books!
Yes, I missed mentioning that. I was working from memory which gets shorter as I get older.
PLUS I know somebody who knows her personally and who has spent the summer up there working with her campaign as a vollunteer. My friend vouches for her as the real deal, and that’s enough for me.
Re: #35, My memory and my typing are deteriorating at the same pace! LOL
