EXCERPT Soundview Health Network will be booted from the state Medicaid program Sept. 8, effectively shutting down the 30-year-old Bronx-based health clinic.
Disgraced ex- NY Senate Majority Leader Pedro Espadas group, Soundview, received about $10M in Medicaid funds last year.
Espada was notified of the decision that Soundview, which serves thousands of "poor residents," had no compliance program to meet state standards.
The state Health Department also noted that the clinics Medicaid service delivery system was managed by Espada and his son, Pedro G. Espada, both of whom were excluded from participation in the Medicaid program earlier this year.
The Espadas face state and federal charges for allegedly ripping off millions in cash and benefits that should gone to services. The senior Espada claimed that pending enforcement action against Sound resulted from Gov. Cuomo having a personal obsession to take on and dominate my manhood.
Cuomo accused Pedro in a civil lawsuit of looting $14M from Soundview....Espada is facing a federal felony trial on charges of stealing $500,000.
