I live in TX and like him. I voted for him in all three elections and think he is doing a good job. So I disagree with the trash talkers.

I really dont see a clear choice... And I am sure I am not the only one on FR. I for one am tired of being played by so called conservatives in the party who end up getting in bed with the enemy.

Tell me with a straight face that the Republicans stood their ground on this debt ceiling vote..

After all, they say, there are reasons to think he's a spendthrift.

Obviously, some in the Tea Party movement lie just like many here do:

WASHINGTON — The Texas state government spends less money per resident than any other state in the country, according to a new survey that also ranks Texas as the fourth best-run state in the nation.

I do not understand why this particular shot was such a big deal.

Um... Perhaps because this shot has been known to be LETHAL. Talk about the cure being worse than the cold.

Again, this 'disease' is not something that everyone can get --only those who act irresponsibly. I mostly have a problem with the whole 'mandate' thing. It is hard to justify unless it really does improve society.

You got the talking points down, n00b. Of course you also failed to mention “Conservative” Perry endorsing deranged moonbat Gore for President and Giuliani in 2008. If Perry had been a FReeper, he’d have been ZOT’ted. If you’d been here then, you’d know that.

Here is the facts.

Long BEFORE Texas was ever under Perry's watch, Texas was prospering.

Now that Texas is under Perry's watch, it is still prospering.

Perry has nothing to do with Texas' economy. The free market creates jobs, not Rick Perry. Trying to credit Perry with that will have as much success as the moonbats screaming how Texas lead the nation in executions under Bush (apparently thinking voters are too dumb to figure out Texas was always #1 in executions before Bush ever took office).

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

FWIW,

I am from Texas (like Perry, a fifth-generation one, too).

Here is my primary voting wish list in order:

1) Palin
2) Bachmann
3) Perry

So unless Michelle gets eliminated in the earlier states, Perry will not receive another vote from me.

I want a real leader who really wants to turn this country around

I agree, having the right conservative stances on the issues is meaningless if they don't have the intestinal fortitude to follow through.

The Captail Gardasil groupies are not quite as nutty as the Slick Willardbots... yet.

This should not be an issue. It was a public health recommendation.

Recommendation doesn't make it law. If someone wants it, let them go get it. What's wrong with that? Perry doesn't believe Texans should be allowed to take care of their own bodies?

Saying 'opting out' doesn't mean they just don't take it - they have to jump through hoops with getting them forms, etc. He gets an 'F' when it comes to freedom for 'WeThePeople' and that IS a big issue.

Mylife thinks that open borders is too offensive to illegals. Tough frijoles.

Pretty much all shots have been known to be lethal to somebody, but they are not to most people. The summary at the link says “Based on all of the information we have today, CDC recommends HPV vaccination for the prevention of most types of cervical cancer.” Are you saying that the CDC wants folks dead? The state madates a lot of shots and the only thing I see different about this is that it only applied to girls.

Federal law already has some provisions for applying for resident status for minors who are in the country and going to school when they turn 18. There’s also the option of joining our military - one of the best med assistants I’ve worked with did this and trained and worked as an army medic.

Since when does a state get to Mandate shots for anyone?

Other than attending public school, I don’t remember that happening.
