Cannot even finish reading the article. this woman is completely disgusting. In the article she claims she has always been a “good mother”. the article is full of justification and excuses. Sick.

I don’t care who I offend with my opinion.

IVF is an abomination. Just because some pompous scientists figured out how to join a sperm and an ovum in a blender and bake it in a womb - does not make it right.

We have Octomom and Jenny as examples of God’s infinite wisdom for natural motherhood and parenting.

...choosing to extinguish one of two healthy fetuses, almost as if having half an abortion.

That's pretty much a full abortion.

Imagine when the kid eventually finds out mom killed it’s twin.>i>

Imagine when the kid figures out that he could have been the one his mother so casually killed...

Congratulations to both of you (one slightly in advance, and what an awful month to still be pregnant ;-).

My next one is due around the end of January, when one appreciates the extra heat, and the gas bill drops as I set the thermostat lower and lower!

This is absolutely sick and evil!!!!

I’m 40 and have twins. It was a very difficult pregnancy with constant pain and many sleepless nights. It didn’t get much easier after I gave birth. My body felt like it was hit by a tornado and I still have some complications but despite it all, I would do it again in a heart beat!!!!!!

Every week I got an ultra sound from 20 days to 13 weeks and I watched my babies grow. It was truly a miracle and I could never have aborted them.

God help this country!!!

What the heck?

She tries for so long to have a baby and is BLESSED with two healthy twins and KILLS one of them?

Did it ever occur to her what would happen if the one she chose to not kill died?

Then what?

I was one month shy of 46 when I had my first birth child (I had adopted a baby 12 years before). It was great being pregnant. I can’t imagine what this woman is thinking, but then I can’t understand liberals to begin with...they can rationalize anything.

“”She was 45 and pregnant after six years of fertility bills, ovulation injections, donor eggs and disappointment””

WHY on earth did she have fertility treatments? They already had children and their finances weren’t where they wanted them? Aren’t fertility treatments pretty doggone pricey?

She should have been sterilized - too stupid to bring any more children into the world.

This is just plain selfish and sick.

That’s a tragedy, but it’s neither a crime nor a sin.

Maybe not a crime, but in this Catholic's mind "one of the babies must be sacrificed" smacks of moral relativism.

Thank you. I just had to put away the dresses I bought when I was thin, four months ago, but they’ll still be good in two years, and everyone will have forgotten about them. Back to the Goodwill and Salvation Army for larger items every couple of months!

...our ability to reach a new moral equilibrium.

I'm with the author of Ecclesiastes here and would point out that there really is nothing new under the sun, "equilibrium" or not. Human selfishness is as basic a condition as there is, and that's what these "new choices" are about.
